Mettler-Toledo
9482 Expressweigh®

The 9482 Expressweigh® is used to weigh random weight packages as they pass over the Model 9477 weigh conveyor. It then displays the weight and outputs it in a serial ASCII format or by Ethernet to a remote printer, PLC, or host controller. The configurable output can include averaged weight, tare, consecutive number, time/date, and package ID. Data is transmitted after every package is weighed. A sum can be printed on demand.

The Expressweigh® controller offers connections for photoeyes and other I/O to create a standalone solution that delivers accurate weights to a printer or other peripheral. When connected to a Mettler Toledo® Model 9476/66 or Mach II analog load cell conveyor system, it automatically detects packages, weighs them, and then prints or transmits the result when the product exits the scale. It also provides ID capability, weight totalization, consecutive numbering, the ability to enter tare values, and alarm outputs.

For applications where package sensing and sequencing is provided by another device in the system, Mettler Toledo® offers a JAGXTREME® in-motion controller with custom in-motion weighing functionality. The other "master" device interfaces to the JAGXTREME® controller serially to send simple commands to tell the controller when to begin and end the weighing cycle. After the weighing cycle is completed, the resulting weight is quickly returned to the other device. As a result, you can easily create a customized solution that works with production, filling, packaging or shipping lines of any age, location, or configuration.

The Expressweigh®, when combined with the Model 9477 Weigh Conveyor provides a complete in-motion package weighing system.

9483 Expresscheck®

Now you can look at your in-motion checkweighing applications in a new way with the 9483 Expresscheck in-motion controller. It features a full-color graphic display (including five different screens) that enables operators to clearly focus on in-motion weighing tasks and helps to reduce potential operator errors.

The Expresscheck in-motion controller is designed to quickly process in-motion weights for package or boxes as they pass over the scale and then display the results graphically. The 9483 will weigh production runs of similar packages, compare the weights to a target, and classify the weights into one of the five zones around the target weight.

Five different screens are available. The main operator screen indicates product ID and description, final processed weight value and classification, along with other information. A statistics screen shows all pertinent statistics for the current product and helps to eliminate operator confusion by reducing the number of steps required for an operator to step through to review statistics.

The trend screen shows a product's weight trend to clearly indicate if a process adjustment is needed to obtain more consistent weights. Additional screens are provided for operator entry of data, printing reports, and more. All can be accessibly simply by pressing a single key.

The
Expresscheck controller is as easy to program as it is to use. It's embedded web browser allows for much of its configuration to be done over the Internet. Setup access for the supervisor is password-protected to prevent unauthorized changes.

The
Expresscheck, when combined with the Model 9477 Weigh Conveyor, provides a complete in-motion package weighing system.
